Licence terms and conditions of sale
What you get when you buy Meezan ERP POS, what the activation code does, what support covers, and the parts of ZATCA compliance that stay with you. Written to match how the software actually works, not how software licences usually read.

The licence granted
When you buy Meezan ERP POS we grant your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the software for your own operations, on the number of devices you paid for, for the licensed period.
A device means one computer — physical or virtual — that runs the application. The licence is node-locked: each device produces its own machine code and needs its own activation code. A three-device licence is three activations, not one code used three times.
There is no limit on people. Within a licensed device you can create as many staff logins and roles as you need; the application ships with role-based sign-in for that reason.
The activation code unlocks the software on one specific machine for one specific period. It does not transfer ownership of the program. You own everything you put into it; we keep the copyright in the software itself.
The licence covers your own business. If you operate several legal entities or several branches, each machine still needs its own activation, and a licence bought by one company is not shared with another.
Restrictions
You may not:
- redistribute, publish, rent, lease, lend or host the installer, the application or a licence file for anyone else;
- reverse engineer, decompile, patch or otherwise interfere with the licensing mechanism, or try to work around activation or the expiry date;
- forge, generate, sell, share or publish activation codes — a code is signed against one machine, so sharing it achieves nothing except breaking these terms;
- remove or alter copyright notices or product branding;
- resell, rebrand or bundle the software into your own offering without a written agreement from us;
- use the software to do something unlawful, or to keep records you know to be false.
Everything reasonable stays fine: install and uninstall it as often as you like, back it up, copy your own data out, run it on a virtual machine you control, or have your own IT technician install it for you.
Activation and machine changes
Activation happens once, offline, and no internet connection is needed at any point.
- Install the app. The activation screen shows a machine code in the form
MZR-DE07-EB9C-0099-17AA-7118. - Send that code to finance@northbeam.sa with your invoice or order reference.
- We return an activation code. You enter it and the application unlocks.
The activation code is an Ed25519 signature covering machineCode|expiry. Because the signature binds both values together, a code will not work on a different machine and the expiry date cannot be edited after the fact. Only the public key ships in the app, so codes can only be produced by us.
A reinstall keeps the activation. The machine code derives from a stable machine identifier and the activation is mirrored to the backup folder in Documents, so reinstalling the app — or reinstalling it after an uninstall — starts straight back up on the same machine without a new code.
If the hardware changes. Replacing a computer, changing a motherboard or reimaging a machine will usually produce a new machine code. Email us the old code and the new one, and we will re-issue for the remainder of your period, at no charge, for the same number of devices. We may ask you to confirm the old machine is out of service, so that a re-issue is a move rather than a quiet extra seat.
Re-issues are handled by email within our normal response target of one business day.
Term, renewal and expiry
The right to run the version you licensed is perpetual. What has a period attached is the activation window, together with updates and support.
- The default licence period is one year, and the software supports any length in days — your invoice states the period you bought.
- Updates and email support for the modules you licensed are included for that first year.
- Renewal is optional. Continued updates and support are charged at 25% of the licence fee per year.
When a period ends, the application returns to the activation screen. A fresh activation code for the version you already licensed is issued on request against the same machine code — email us the code that screen shows, exactly as you did the first time — and entering it restores the application immediately, with everything as you left it: same database, same settings, same history.
A trial is the same mechanism with a very near date. A trial licence for the installed application is an ordinary activation code, signed the same way against the same machine code, that happens to carry a handful of days rather than a year. There is no separate demo build. It ends at 23:59:59 on its date and the activation screen comes back, exactly as a licensed year ends — and everything in the paragraph below applies to it in full.
The browser demo works the same way, bound to an email address instead of a machine. The 5-day demo runs the same application in your browser; because a browser has no machine code, its activation codes are signed against the email address you started the demo with. One demo per address. When the five days end the application is blocked until a code is entered, and — as below — nothing you entered is deleted. Data from the browser demo is stored by your browser, on your device, and is subject to your browser's own storage: clearing your site data deletes it, and we cannot recover it because we never had a copy.
Expiry never deletes or holds your data. The database stays on your disk, the mirror in Documents/Meezan ERP Restaurant/ stays where it is, both remain readable, and both remain yours. Nothing is encrypted against you, locked to a subscription or held pending payment. If you decided never to renew, your records would still be sitting on your own machine.
Your data
You own everything you enter — customers, suppliers, recipes, stock, employees, payroll and the entire ledger. We claim no rights over any of it and no licence to use it.
It stays on your machine. The application makes no network calls, has no server component at all, and we hold no copy of your database. We cannot read your figures, your customer list or your payroll.
We cannot switch the application off remotely. There is no kill switch, no remote wipe, no ability to lock a record, disable a branch or throttle a terminal. The channel for doing any of that does not exist, because the software does not talk to us. Even in a billing dispute the most we can do is decline to issue a new activation code — we can never reach into a machine that is already running.
If you stop being a customer, nothing happens to your data. It is not ours to do anything with.
Support
Included with a current licence:
- Email support at finance@northbeam.sa, Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 to 18:00 AST.
- A response target of one business day, and same-day on the Multi-branch tier.
- Help with installation, activation, licence re-issue and using the modules you licensed.
- Bug fixes and product updates released during your covered period.
Chargeable, and always quoted before any work starts:
- On-site installation and staff training, quoted per city.
- Data migration from another system — included with the Multi-branch tier, quoted otherwise.
- Custom development, bespoke reports, designing your chart of accounts, or completing ZATCA device onboarding on your behalf.
- Additional devices at SAR 450 each.
Not covered at all: your hardware, your network, your printers, your internet connection, your operating system, and third-party software we did not supply. We will usually tell you what we think is wrong, but fixing it is not part of the licence.
Fees, VAT and payment
All prices are in Saudi riyals and are exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged at the rate required by Saudi regulation and shown as a separate line on the invoice. If you need your VAT number on the tax invoice, send it with your order.
Current list prices are SAR 1,900 for Starter, SAR 3,900 for Restaurant and SAR 7,500 for Multi-branch, with extra devices at SAR 450 each. Prices can change, but a written quotation we have issued holds for the period stated on it.
Licences are issued on cleared payment. We send the activation code once the payment has reached us, normally within one business day of that happening.
Refunds
Try it first. The 5-day browser demo is free, needs no installer and no card, and is the whole product with nothing locked, watermarked or capped. One demo per email address. If you would rather evaluate it on the machine it will actually run on, ask us by email and a short-dated trial licence comes back with the installer — the same full product, activated the same way, on your own hardware. The only difference between a trial code and a paid one is the date inside the signature.
Two details this page owes you. A trial code carries a date, and the application runs until 23:59:59 on that date — calendar days, not hours counted from the moment you install, so a code dated for your Friday service is yours for the whole of that Friday. And nothing is lost when a trial ends: the books you entered stay in the database under %APPDATA%\Meezan ERP POS\ and in the mirror at Documents/Meezan ERP Restaurant/ — or, for the browser demo, in your browser's own storage on your device — the application returns to the activation screen, and a purchased code turns it back on with that work intact. A trial does not become a purchase by itself; buying is a separate, deliberate step. We would much rather you evaluated it properly than bought it on the strength of a website.
Because of that, and because a licence is a delivered digital product tied to a specific machine, we do not offer an automatic refund once an activation code has been issued and used.
What we will do:
- If the software does not do something this website or the documentation says it does, tell us within 30 days of purchase. We will fix it, or refund the licence fee if we cannot.
- If you paid for a renewal that has not started, you can cancel it for a full refund.
- If we invoiced you in error or you paid twice, we refund it without argument.
Refunds are returned by the same route the payment arrived. Chargeable services already carried out — on-site work, migration, custom development — are not refundable once delivered.
Compliance responsibility
This section matters more than the rest, so it is written as plainly as we can manage.
The software prepares ZATCA Phase-2 e-invoice artifacts. Specifically it generates UBL 2.1 XML, maintains the invoice counter value (ICV) and the PIH hash chain with chain integrity verified on every read, and produces the Base64 TLV QR payload for tags 1 to 5: seller name, VAT number, timestamp, invoice total and VAT total.
Tags 6 to 9 carry the XML digital signature and the signing certificate. Those require a CSID issued to you by ZATCA during device onboarding. It is a real credential that only ZATCA can issue. The application stores it once you have it and never fabricates it — until it is in place, documents are flagged signed: false rather than emitting a QR code that looks compliant and is not.
That means the following remain your responsibility:
- completing device onboarding with ZATCA and obtaining your CSID;
- registering, filing returns and paying tax on time;
- the accuracy of what is entered — VAT numbers, tax rates, addresses, item data and prices;
- keeping the records the authority requires you to keep.
We do not claim that the product is ZATCA certified, ZATCA approved or fully compliant, and nobody is authorised to claim that on our behalf. The honest description is that it is built for ZATCA Phase 2 and prepares Phase-2 artifacts.
The same principle applies to your accounts. The application enforces double entry, rejects unbalanced journal entries and postings to unknown accounts, and posts corrections as reversals so the original stays visible and auditable. It does not replace your accountant or your auditor, and it cannot know that a figure you typed was the wrong one.
Warranty and limitation of liability
We warrant that the software performs materially as described on this website and in its documentation during your licensed period. If it does not, tell us and we will fix it or refund the licence fee as set out above.
Beyond that, the software is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it is fit for a purpose we have not described, that it is free of every defect, or that it will meet a requirement you have not told us about.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the software and these terms is limited to the licence fee you paid. We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost or corrupted data, business interruption or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Backups are your responsibility. The application does a great deal to help: writes are atomic and fsync'd with a rolling .bak, a corrupt primary file falls back to the backup automatically, and the database is mirrored to Documents/Meezan ERP Restaurant/ so it survives an uninstall. There is also a manual export in the File menu.
None of that survives a failed disk, a stolen machine or a fire. An uninstall-proof mirror on the same drive is not a backup. Copy that folder off the machine regularly — external media or storage you control — and check occasionally that the copy opens.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and any dispute is subject to the competent courts of the Kingdom.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Where an Arabic translation of this page is published for convenience and the two versions differ in meaning, please contact us before relying on the difference.
